Jill G. Durand, Psy.D.
Dr. Durand is a clinical psychologist licensed in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She earned her doctorate from William James College, completing an APA-Approved Internship at Westborough State Hospital, where she received specialized training in forensic psychology and neuropsychology. Dr. Durand went on to complete post-doctoral training in juvenile forensic psychology and worked as a juvenile court clinician for seven years, completing training to become a Certified Juvenile Court Clinician I & II through the Massachusetts Department of Forensic Mental Health before joining PCS. Dr. Durand’s practice focuses on clinical and forensic evaluation of children, adolescents and adults. Her professional interests include assessing court-related competencies and criminal responsibility; assessing risk of violence, inappropriate sexually problematic behavior and fire-setting behavior; and the impact of trauma on development.
In 2016, Dr. Durand expanded her clinical practice to include employment evaluations, specifically, pre-employment psychological evaluations and fitness for duty evaluations for law enforcement officers and firefighters. Dr. Durand provides occupationally mandated evaluations for over 90 police and fire departments in MA and NH. She has also been retained by school systems and worker’s compensation companies to offer evaluative services for educational staff and other employees. Dr. Durand is a current member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police Psychology Section, the Fire Psychology Association, APA Division 18 Section for Police and Public Safety, APA Division 41 Psychology and Law Section, and the Society for Police and Criminal Psychology.
