Dr. Begany is a forensic neuropsychologist providing a wide range of forensic evaluations for children, teens and adults. Dr. Begany has particular expertise providing forensic evaluations to psychiatrically complicated clients who suffer from intellectual disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism and ADHD, seizure disorders, and neurological impairments acquired from traumatic brain injuries. Evaluations include competence to stand trial, criminal responsibility, competence to waive Miranda rights, malingering/feigned cognitive impairment, risk assessments for juvenile sex offenders, and evaluations of parents and children involved with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. Dr. Begany also provides consultation to school districts and private schools through risk assessments of troubled students and special education program evaluations.  Dr. Begany is also actively involved in providing evaluations for public safety candidates and employees, including pre-employment psychological evaluations and fitness for duty evaluations.
