Andrea M. Buonaugurio, Psy.D.

Dr. Buonaugurio is a licensed clinical psychologist and Designated Forensic Psychologist. She has a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and earned her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialty track in Forensics from William James College. Dr. Buonaugurio completed her predoctoral internship at Rutgers University, where she gained familiarity with the correctional system and experience in forensics while working on the mental health unit of both male and female prisons. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship with William James College’s Child and Adolescent Forensic Evaluation Service. Dr. Buonaugurio went on to work at Bridgewater State Hospital, where she continued her forensic work as a Unit Psychologist. Dr. Buonaugurio worked in the Adult Court Clinic for both district and superior courts (2016 – 2022), gaining extensive experience conducting evaluations and testifying as an expert on evaluations related to competence to stand trial, criminal responsibility, aid in sentencing, mental health and substance abuse. She is currently licensed in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
