Dr. Schaefer is an experienced clinical and forensic psychologist who has provided expert testimony in Juvenile, District, Superior and Probate Courts. He has extensive experience with police and fire departments, municipalities, corporations and schools, providing fitness-for-duty evaluations and risk assessments. Much of his tenure at PCS was spent providing pre-employment psychological screening for public safety candidates in numerous towns and cities across the Commonwealth. As a Qualified Examiner/Retained Expert, he has performed evaluations regarding sexual dangerousness. He has testified at numerous Sexually Dangerous Persons trials, both for the Commonwealth and the Respondent, and has testified before the Sex Offender Registry Board. He also served as Guardian ad Litem for the Probate Courts, and has experience as Parent Coordinator.
